Library
The University of Kansas libraries contain one of the nation's strongest collections for Central America with 106,000 titles and have an exceptional collection of over 500,000 titles for Latin America. The Department for Spain, Portugal, and Latin America (SPLAT), which manages these resources, is housed in Watson Library. Graduate students take a one-semester course, Introduction to Latin Amreican Library Resources (LAA 700), to learn how to navigate the university's extensive holdings. Library tours for students and the general public are scheduled periodically.
