A newly formed institute within the University Theatre and the
Department of Theatre & Film at the University of Kansas. Its goal is to
explore the uses of virtual reality and related technologiesand how they may
be applied to theatre production and performance.

(English Alternative Theatre)
Founded in November 1990
by Paul Stephen Lim, who teaches playwriting in the English Department at KU.
To date, EAT has mounted 45 full productions and 100 staged readings of plays.
Of the playwrights who have been showcased thus far, over half have been KU
students.
