Moses Gunn Collection Donated to KU Department of Theatre and Film
Memorabilia from the 30-year acting career of University of Kansas alumnus Moses Gunn has been donated to the KU Department of Theatre and Film by his widow, Gwen. John Staniunas, Chair of the Department said the collection is now being catalogued and he hopes to unveil it in February 2009, during Black History Month, with an exhibition at the Spencer Museum of Art. KU Alumnae Partner to Write Textbook
Alumnae Leslie Atkins Durham, associate professor of theatre at Boise State University, and Sally Shedd, associate professor of theatre and Humanities Division Chair at Virginia Wesleyan College, have signed a publishing agreement with Kendall/Hunt Publishing for a textbook, Theatre Lives: An Introduction to Theatre. The text is to be published in the Spring of 2009.

Alumnus James Still is currently
directing actress Lauren Lovett in Theresa Rebeck's Bad Dates at the Indiana
Repertory Theatre.
The 2007-08 season will be James'
10th anniversary as IRT's first-ever playwright-in-residence. To celebrate
the anniversary, IRT is staging two of Still's plays simultaneously in both
of its theaters. Both Looking Over the President's Shoulder and Iron
Kisses will be presented in April 2008.
