The 2010 FTA Region VII Public Transportation Training will be held on March 22-25, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri. This meeting is intended for all professionals from urban and rural transit agencies, state departments of transportations, planning agencies, intercity bus and other private transportation providers, tribal transportation agencies, transit and consumer advocates -- anyone who is interested in learning about the latest in Federal Transit Administration program management and improving transit in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. The afternoon of March 22 and morning of March 23 are set aside for pre-conference training. The full meeting gets started at noon on March 23.

Among the topics of the meeting anticipated are FTA Urban and Rural Transit Program Management, TEAM and Grants Management 101, Bus/Bus Facility Grants, Statewide & Metropolitan Transportation Planning Planning Programs, Environmental Provisions, Civil Rights and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Drug and Alcohol Testing. Additional program details will be available after January 1, 2010.
