The Department of Political Science offers degrees for undergraduate (B.A., B.G.S.) and graduate (M.A., Ph.D.) students. If you have questions about our graduate or undergraduate programs, we invite you to contact us. Our Graduate Director is Professor Paul Johnson and our Undergraduate Director is Associate Professor Fiona Yap.
Our course offerings are grouped according to subfields which represent our discipline: American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Public Policy, and Political Theory. People who are interested in joining our department are invited to peruse our faculty and graduate student listings in order to contact people who share their interest.

Doctoral Student Receives Fulbright-Hays Fellowship

Ryan Gibb, doctoral student in Political Science from Omaha, Neb., will be investigating land tenure laws in Uganda as a Fulbright-Hays Fellow next spring. Gibb is the third KU doctoral student to receive a Fulbright-Hays dissertation research fellowship for the 2009-10 academic year. Read more...
