Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program


Program Background

The Kansas Certified Public Manager program was established in 1993, since that time over 1,000 public managers have completed certification through the program.

The Certified Public Manager certificate is a nationally recognized emblem of management excellence. The Kansas CPM program complies with the guidelines and standards established by the National Certified Public Manager Consortium and its curriculum requirements. Other Kansas CPM partners include:

  • Mid-America Regional Council (MARC)
  • League of Kansas Municipalities
  • Kansas Association of Counties
  • Graduate School, USDA

The Kansas CPM program offers a blended learning approach of classroom hours, online learning and outside assignments to meet 300 hours of structural learning. Students meet 2-3 days in the classroom per month for one year.
