Class Biographies

Welcome to the website for the University of Kansas Intern Option Masters of Public Administration Class of 2013. It is so exciting to join the excellent KU tradition of great public servants. The KU MPA tradition is unique in that we began our coursework for the program in June of 2011 and will end our coursework in May of 2012. During the year we are in Kansas we also have part time internships with cities, counties, or non-profit organizations. Next year, we will be working in full-time internships or jobs all throughout the country. We will graduate with our Masters in Public Administration following our full time internship in May of 2013.

Our class consists of twelve students from all across the country including Kansas, Georgia, California, Oregon, Louisiana, Missouri, and Minnesota. Furthermore, we all have diverse backgrounds, from undergraduate degrees in sociology, religion, Spanish, and public administration to political science, philosophy, marketing, and communication studies. Something that makes our class unique is that we have three students who were, or currently are, active duty in the US Army. Overall, our classmates bring some pretty diverse perspectives to classroom discussions, ultimately benefiting all of us

Feel free to view our individual biographies or our class biography if you’d like to learn more about us including activities that we are involved in and our work experiences. Furthermore, please do not hesitate to contact any of us with questions regarding the program, our backgrounds, our professional careers, our experiences at Kansas, or with any other questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from prospective students, alumni, prospective employers, and community leaders.
