Joseph, a recipient of the Ethan Allen Scholarship, graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a degree in political science. His emphasis was in political philosophy and public policy. He worked for the university television station for two years as a technical operator.

He interned with the Utah State Legislature, working for the chair of the Transportation, Environmental Quality, and National Guard Appropriations Subcommittee. As a legislative intern, he was responsible for a number of tasks such as research on air quality issues, mass transit, and state child welfare laws. He was responsible for the organization and tabulation of survey data, filing, tracking information on bill progress, constituent diplomacy and drafting talking points for the Representative's sponsored bills.

Joseph is currently working for the City of Prairie Village as a management intern. While at Prairie Village , he has assisted with the drafting of a new travel policy. He has been a part of an effort to reformat and standardize the forms for the city codes department. He has also had the opportunity to discuss the implementation of new policies to help in the creation of the city budget with the city administrator.

Joseph is looking to work in a larger metropolitan area, where he can work with a broad number of people in order to gain experiences that will help him to focus his career path. He would like to be in a setting that will help him learn about effective service delivery and broad management skills. He is willing to move anywhere as he seeks for opportunities.
