Josh, an Ethan Allen Scholar and recipient of the Wildgen Family Public Administration Scholarship, graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, with degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. At Vanderbilt, Josh was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society, and the Undergraduate Political Science Association. He also participated in several service organizations and served as president of the Intercollegiate Bowling Club team. Josh worked for two years in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, serving as an ambassador for the university in the summer of his junior year.
Josh, originally from Belle Plaine, Kansas, is presently working as a management intern for the City of Ottawa, Kansas. He has completed multiple projects, including collection and data entry for the Human Resources Department’s EE0-4 Report and preparation of the city budget document. He has also researched, analyzed, and drafted recommendation memos for the City Manager on a variety of topics. Josh is currently facilitating Ottawa’s application for a entrepreneurship pilot program being offered through Network Kansas, and is gathering public feedback on the Clean Air ordinance that he drafted at the City Manager’s request.
