Robert Nye
Robert is originally from Tucson, Arizona. He earned an MPA from the Cornell University
Institute of Public Affairs in 1998. He is a career Army officer with twenty-two years of
experience. He recently commanded an infantry battalion deployed in support of the United
Nations peace keeping efforts in Kosovo and served as Chief of Current Operations for the
Combined Joint Task Force in Afghanistan while assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, Fort
Drum, New York. He is a 2005 graduate of the United States Army War College at Carlisle,
Pennsylvania, where he earned a masters degree in strategic studies. Upon completion of
his studies, he will become a faculty member at the Army War College. His academic and
research interests include privatization, public budgeting and finance, networks, organizational
analysis and leadership.
