Brian Pappas

Brian Pappas

Brian A. Pappas is a PhD student in the Department of Public Administration. A native of Michigan, Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and his Master of Public Policy degrees at the University of Michigan. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. Brian is the Associate Director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program at Michigan State University's College of Law, where he teaches negotiation, mediation, online dispute resolution, and arbitration advocacy. A practicing mediator, Brian serves on the governing council for the State Bar of Michigan's ADR section and as the co-chair of the ADR Section of the Washtenaw County Bar Association. His research interests include collaborative governance and public policy dispute resolution.
