Stottlemire Retires

stottlemire

Dr. Marvin Stottlemire has retired from his long-time service at the KU Public Management Center. Beginning as a contract employee in 1995, he was the Assistant Director of the Public Management Center starting in 2000 until his retirement in November 2006.

Anybody who knows Marvin won’t be surprised that his retirement will be anything but. He will continue to teach several MPA, MPH (masters of public health) and CPM (certified public manager) courses on a contract basis, as well as conference speaking engagements.

When his busy retirement schedule allows, Marvin will still be performing improv comedy with Laughing Matters and the Senior Class and auditioning for roles at regional community theaters.

The most important part of his career at the Public Management Center has been the opportunity to impact the students’ lives so if you’ve been impacted by Marvin (No, we’re not talking about in the icy PMC parking lot before class!), please feel free to email him your congratulations and memories to marvstot@ku.edu.
