McNairs Scholars Program accepting applications
The University of Kansas McNair Scholars Program is currently accepting applications for the 2011-2012 academic year.
The McNair Scholars Program provides fall and spring semester academic support and offers paid summer research internships ($2,800 and three hours of research credit). The program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for graduate study and eventual careers in university teaching and research.
To qualify, students must be sophomores, juniors or seniors who are either low-income, first-generation college students or from groups currently underrepresented in graduate education (African-American, Native American, Pacific Islander and Hispanic). In addition, applicants must have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA and plan to attend graduate school.
