McNair Scholars hosting 2012 Summer Research Symposium

LAWRENCE — The McNair Scholars Program will host its 19th annual research symposium this week at the University of Kansas.

The symposium will take place 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, July 19, and 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, July 20, in Joseph R. Pearson Hall, Room 150.

McNair Scholars from a range of discipline will highlight the research they have conducted throughout the spring and summer semesters. Presentation topics originate from a variety of fields and include titles such as the following: "Opportunities, Challenges and Obstacles Inherent in Advancing Sustainable Tourism," "Development of an iPad Application for Children with Cortical Visual Impairment" and "God and Mammon: The Influence of Income and Religion on Political Support for Conservatism."
