KU research-sharing session announced
LAWRENCE — As a part of a
continued effort to bring together University of Kansas scholars from all
disciplines, and in response to the call set forth by Bold
Aspirations, KU's
strategic plan, The Commons presents the third in a series of Research Sharing Sessions. The idea is inspired by Pecha Kucha, which features
short, slide-based talks that introduce audiences to an idea.
The next event will be 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30,
at The Commons, Spooner Hall.
These sessions will feature six faculty members,
speaking for six minutes each. Audience members are encouraged to connect with
the speakers (and one another) during breaks. The Commons hopes that faculty
members will find in these sessions a venue for cross-disciplinary partnering
and exploration.
Presenting faculty for this event will be James Sterbenz, associate professor, electrical engineering and computer science; Sanjay Mishra, associate professor, business; Emily Rauscher, assistant professor, sociology; Jerry Crawford, assistant professor, journalism; Jessica Gerschultz, assistant professor, African and African-American studies, and Cima Katz, professor, visual art.
All faculty are invited. See more information at The Commons.
