Families sought to host international students for Thanksgiving

LAWRENCE — International Student Services at the University of Kansas seeks interested families to volunteer to participate in the 58th Annual Betty Grimwood Thanksgiving Homestay Program. Area families are asked to host one or more international students on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22) to provide a holiday meal. Families may also offer to host one or more students for the entire Thanksgiving break (Nov. 21-25).

This program provides students with an opportunity to experience the Thanksgiving holiday with an American family. It also provides American families the chance to learn about another culture.

To apply for the program, families can contact Jenna Mittelmeier, KU International Student Services, by email or at (785) 864-3617. The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 12.
