Chancellor’s Student Awards Committee seeks student nominations
LAWRENCE — The Chancellor’s Student Awards Committee is asking University of Kansas faculty and staff members to identify outstanding students for the 2012 Chancellor’s Student Awards.
The Chancellor’s Student Awards are among the most prestigious awards presented at KU. Each recipient is recognized during a surprise in-class presentation, and the award recipients’ photos are included in the Commencement program. The Chancellor’s Student Awards are designated for graduating seniors, with the exception of the Rusty Leffel Concerned Student Award, which can be presented to any classification of student.
The online nomination form and award criteria are available here. Nominees will be informed of their nomination and asked to provide a résumé and a statement of interest. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, and student applications are due 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.
If you have questions regarding the nomination process, please contact Lindsay Hamm, committee chair, at 864-4060, or by email.
