Finger Prints

Hours of Operation

You can have finger prints taken Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. excluding legal holidays. Go to the reception desk located just inside the entrance to the KUPSO. There will be a $5.00 per card charge for the service for KU Students, Staff, and Faculty with a valid KUID. For people not affiliated with the University it is $10.00 Per card for the first TWO cards then $5.00 per card for each additional card. This change takes effect February 1, 2008.

What You Need to Bring

There is a variety of reasons that a person needs to get finger prints taken and every organization requesting the fingerprints has subtle difference's in the procedure they follow. Make sure you read the instructions that were provided to you by the organization. You will need to bring a photo ID. Here are some of the other things that you might need to bring:

• The Fingerprint card that was provided (if one was not provided we can provide one).
• What information the organization wants on the fingerprint card.
• Envelope with adequate postage affixed if the organization wants the card mailed.
• A check to cover the application processing fees if the organization does not pay for that.
• Any other paperwork the organization wants included with the card.
