Achievement Award
- Deadline: March 1 (if the annual deadline falls on a weekend the application is due the following Monday)
- Applications should be turned in to Pamela Scott, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Strong Hall Room 145
- Criteria: Minimum GPA 3.0 undergraduate/3.5 graduate/2.5 Law School
- Student must be returning to KU for the next academic year.
BFSC Unit Award
This award is given to an academic or administrative unit that exhibits a commitment to diversity in the workplace through any or all of the following activities:
- aggressive recruitment of black faculty or staff
- establishment of a work environment conducive to the retention of
black faculty or staff
- development and successful implementation of a diversity plan

Hobart C. Jackson Service Award
This award is given annually to an individual for outstanding service
to black KU students. This individual should be:
- active in the black campus community
- aware and supportive of the initiatives of the BFSC

This award is given by the National Panellenic Council to a member of the
NPHC Greek community who exhibits exceptional leadership skills.
BFSC Student Achievement Award
These awards are given to African American/Black/African KU undergraduate and graduate students who show evidence of leadership potential and interest and involvement in the Black community.
