KU Application Procedures: Mail to KU Graduate School
1) Apply Online through University of Kansas
2) A copy of your Graduate Record Examination (GRE) report of
scores is recommended but not required.
3) International Applicants: A copy of your TOEFEL scores.
Departmental Admission Requirements: Mail to Department

3) Statement of Purpose
a. A letter stating your academic objectives and the disciplinary track of interest (i.e., archaeology, biological anthropology, sociocultural anthropology, or anthropological linguistics) should be mailed directly to the KU Anthropology Department. Applicants who wish to be considered for an assistantship or fellowship should state this in their cover letter or statement of academic objectives. (We have no official form for this purpose.)4) Three letters of recommendation from faculty members (if possible) with whom you have worked and who know your work well should be mailed directly to the KU Anthropology Department: Graduate Letter Recommendation Form
5) Curriculum vitae or Resume.
6) PhD Applicants only: Professional Writing Sample
7) PhD Applicants only: Must contact KU professor with whom they wish to work.
