Structure of the Kansas Enrichment Network

The Kansas Enrichment Network is a network of equals; each member is free to choose an area, level, and degree of involvement. Our decision-making structure depends upon an Advisory Board, a growing coalition of partners who choose work groups, an Executive Committee, and staff. By choosing and directing work groups, Network partners influence network development, activities, technical assistance, policy, and research design. The organizational structure supports four goals:

Goal 1: To develop further and implement successfully a statewide network and infrastructure to develop strengthen, and institutionalize support for successful afterschool programs.

Goal 2: To provide technical assistance to existing and new out-of-school time programs so that they can be successful and promote continuous improvement.

Goal 3: To evaluate our state's out-of-school time partnership's efforts, answer pressing questions, and communicate the results of our work broadly.

Goal 4: To educate the people of Kansas and its policy community about the potential of good afterschool programs and to advocate for program funding.
