Another successful Kansas Workforce Summit has passed, and the Kansas Enrichment Network is very proud to have been a part. We hosted a booth at this year's Summit, and our own Nancy Harper also participated in a response panel discussing ways to improve Kansas' workforce. We made excellent contacts and the afterschool message was definitely heard.
Afterschool providers around the state should contact their representatives at the Department of Commerce (see map for contact information) to build support for local afterschool programs.
Ask about partnership opportunities which may provide benefits for your afterschool program. Cooperation with the business community is a key tool in raising awareness and support for afterschool.
