Audioconference on "Rising to the Challenge: A Platform for City Leadership on Behalf of Children, Youth, and Families." This audioconference on Thurs, Jan 26, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) will focus on key action steps municipal officials can take to strengthen families and improve outcomes for children and youth.

Speakers will be several local elected officials from NLC's Council on Youth, Education, and Families (YEF Council). Participants will engage in an interactive discussion with the speakers and other municipal officials on how to use NLC's new city platform to strengthen families in their own communities, how these elements were chosen, and how the YEF Institute will support city action and track responses to the platform.  To view or download the platform, visit www.nlc.org/iyef, or to request hard copies, contact Michael Karpman at 202-626-3072 or karpman@nlc.org.
