Conference sponsored by McREL and the National Partnership for Quality Afterschool Learning. The National Partnership is administered by SEDL in partnership with CRESST, McREL, NWREL, SERVE, IRE, and WGBH Education Foundation under contract with the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education of the U.S. Department of Education.

The PEAK Afterschool Conference provides a forum for practitioners, program directors, community partners, and leaders in the field of out-of-school time to network and learn through high quality professional development experiences. Sessions will provide practical guidance related to supporting student learning in math, literacy, science, and the arts in addition to topics such as relationships, sustainability, leadership, youth development, community connections, professional development, and much more.

These interactive workshops will provide an intimate learning environment to demonstrate methods, strategies and successful models for afterschool programs. All sessions promote the expansion of high quality afterschool programs that provide meaningful experiences for children.

You will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas and share best practices at The Marketplace. The Marketplace is designed to facilitate collaboration around specific areas of interest through the sharing of successful experiences and models that YOU and your afterschool colleagues bring to the conference.

It is also our intention to provide a stimulating setting for activities beyond the conference. Nestled in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, Copper Mountain offers a variety of activities that you may choose to enjoy with colleagues and/or new acquaintances.

You will leave the conference refreshed and charged with new ideas, best practices and successful models that you can put in place in your organization immediately.
