| 1 GB Mailboxes for Students; Replace Exchange Clusters (return to top) |
| Servers are being built to accommodate students and faculty increasing the size of their e-mail mailbox from 500MB to 1GB. The architecture for the system is also being improved. |

| In SAKU, professors have been given the ability to click on a student's name and view their photo. With this project, pictures of the entire classs roster will be available to view as a whole. |

| As a part of the KU’s Information Management Program spearheaded by the Provost, certificates for e-mail encryption are being promoted. Although eventually intended for campus-wide use, areas with the most sensitive data are being targeted first. |

| As a part of the KU’s Information Management Program spearheaded by the Provost, a service to support whole disk encryption is being launched. With an initial purchase of 250 licenses, the service is targeted to those on campus who work with the most sensitive data. |

| Expand Campus Access to New Document Management System (Xythos) (return to top) |
| Xythos is a document management system made available on a limited basis in February 2007 for the primary purpose of managing documents for the KU policy web site. The system is a complete, full functioning document management system, including a Records Management module and document workflow. This phase of deployment will focus on broadening access to more campus departments and implementing records management functionality in support of the campus Information Management Program initiative (http://www.provost.ku.edu/policy/infomanagement/). |

| This project was established to facilitate moving users of Oracle client software from earlier versions to Oracle Client 10g which enable the Oracle Name Server to be decommissioned. |
