International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
During this session ISSS staff will copy and review your immigration
documents and present important information on staying legal (F-1 and J-1 only)
while studying in the U.S. Bring your passport, visa and I-94 (small card
issued at the port of entry), I-20 or DS-2019. If in a dependant status
H-4, L-2, J-2, etc), bring evidence of the status for the person from whom
your status is derived. Also, bring your local address, your international
address, and emergency contact information so that we can update your records
on our computer system. There is a mandatory $35 check-in fee that must be
paid at this time. The check-in fee can be paid by cash, check or traveler’s
check only. Plan about four hours for this step. Please do not be late.

If testing is required, you must register at the AEC office by 3:00 p.m. the business day prior to a test date. You need to be in the U.S. for 24 hours before you can take the AEC test. It may take up to two weekdays to get test results back. The AEC office hours are 8:00 a.m-Noon and 1:00-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Allow four and a half hours for the test.
Student Health Services (SHS)Non-orientation student health check-in and TB clinics will be held in mid August. The policies are available on the SHS web site. All vaccinations will be available through Student Health Services.
Bring your health history form and immunization form with you to the appointment. Prices for immunizations are subject to change.
If you are enrolled in the health insurance plan offered by ISSS the cost of your TB test will be covered. Alternative insurance may not cover these expenses. All newly enrolled international students are required to complete the entire tuberculosis screening process. Failure to do so will result in disenrollment
