Apartments and Houses

When searching for off-campus housing, you may look for a studio, apartment or house. The following gives you some idea about the range of monthly rent in Lawrence: $310-$450 for a studio; $350-$660 for a one bedroom apartment and $495-$785 for a two bedroom apartment. If you need temporary lodging once you arrive in Lawrence there are several hotels to choose from.

Transportation Within Lawrence

KU on Wheels: The campus bus system which operates Monday through Friday each semester. A one-way ride is $1 (exact change required). There is no service on weekends or holidays. Check the web site for season prices and other services.

The "T": A Lawrence public bus system which also costs $1 per ride and is 50% off with your KU ID card. There is no "T" service on Sundays or holidays. To see their routes and services, please visit http://www.lawrencetransit.org/.
