Prospective International Undergraduate Students

The application deadline for Spring 2010 is October 1.

General

International applicants may be admitted to the university if they have completed secondary education with a college preparatory curriculum, fulfilled the minimum grade point equivalency, provided required official academic records, met the appropriate deadlines, and verified financial support for one academic year.

Before You Apply

If you cannot decide upon a major, you may apply to the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Later you can choose a major or apply to another KU academic division or professional school.

First-year applicants: You may enter the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) or the Schools of the Arts, Engineering, Music, or Architecture, Design, and Planning.

Beyond the first year:  Before entering programs in the Schools of Allied Health, Business, Education, Journalism and Mass Communication, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Social Welfare, you must take prerequisite courses. Many students begin their studies in the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and apply for transfer to these professional schools after completing prerequisites.

Deadline for Spring 2010 is October 1.
(You may also view the PDF version of Admissions Requirements and Deadlines here. The requirements and deadlines depend upon the program of study you choose, your level of education and the semester you plan to begin.)
