Two ISSS Mailing Lists
With immigration rules and regulations constantly changing, it is very important for international students to be up to date with these changes. ISSS staff will periodically send e-mails relating to immigration updates, important reminders, and messages via ISSS Electronic News. Other less important, but more entertaining events are sent to students via the ISSS Electronic News Events mailing list which gives information on upcoming lectures, gatherings, parties and the like that can help make life at KU a more enriching experience.
1. ISSS Electronic News (ISS-L)
ISSS periodically sends important information regarding immigration updates, changes, and end-of-the-semester reminders to students. Subscription is mandatory and automatic for all international students.
If you are current faculty or staff and wish to be subscribed to ISS-L, please send an email to isss@ku.edu with your name and e-mail address. We will add you to ISS-L.
2. ISSS Events (ISSEVENTS-L)
KU currently has over 30 registered international student groups, associations, and organizations that are often promoting their cultural and social activities and events. This list provides information on international activities, events, and cultural programs occurring on campus and throughout the Lawrence community. All international students are automatically subscribed each semester; however, students may request to be unsubscribed by emailing isssprograms@ku.edu and putting "unsubscribe ISSSEvents" in the headline. Note: Unsubscriptions are only valid for one semester.
Posting an Event to ISSS Events
If your KU-recognized group or organization wants to advertise your educational and/or cultural event, activity, or programs that you are hosting or sponsoring on campus or within the community, please send an email to isssprograms@ku.edu with the following information:
- Title of your event in the subject line
- Brief description of the event
- Date, time, location
- Admission fee(s)
- Contact person/organization's name, phone number, and/or email address
Please use only text, do not attach graphics or attachments. Your ad must be approved by a list owner before it is posted on ISSEVENTS-L. It is recommended that you submit your request at least one week before the event.
