Insurance Waiver Process
If evidence of pre-existing adequate coverage is provided before the insurance deadline, August 26, 2013 (Fall 2013), a waiver will be granted and the insurance charge will be removed. The pre-existing coverage must be valid at least from the first day of classes through the last day of June for the summer semester.
Students may obtain a waiver by presenting a signed and completed waiver form verifyling that the minimum coverages are met (see process below). The waiver form to be used for this certification can be obtained online or from the ISS office. Once a waiver is approved, the insurance charge will be removed from the student's online account. The insurance processing usually takes no longer than seven days. If your fee isn't removed within seven days after you submit the waiver, please email out insurance coordinator at email@example.com to check on your waiver status.
The waiver process will differ depending on the insurance plan you hold and on your current status. For the procedures you need to follow, please view the following sections.
