  • F-1: Economic Hardship

Employment authorization due to severe economic hardship is difficult to obtain. It is a very limited option for students who can prove extreme unforeseen economic conditions. Student must have made a "good faith" effort to locate on-campus employment, and need to show that the available on-campus employment is insufficient to meet the need. The application must be submitted to and approved by USCIS. Interested students should meet with an ISSS advisor.
