Cultural Programs


International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) coordinates a variety of programs and works closely with some community-based programs. Detailed information and applications for any of the below programs can be obtained in ISSS office, Room 2 Strong Hall. A variety of programs and workshops, such as off-campus employment,job search techniques, immigration basics, and tax assistance, are offered throughout the year to provide information about topics that are relevant to international students.

    Friendship Family

    This is a community-based program that matches international students with families for the academic year to promote friendship and cross-cultural understanding. This is not a live-in program, but rather an opportunity to meet with a family for occasional meals or gatherings. Matches are made at the beginning of each fall & spring semester. Interested students and families can fill out forms to become volunteers in the ISSS office or fill them out here:
