KU Policy on Use of Outside Agents

PLEASE BE ADVISED: The University of Kansas does not establish contractual agreements with agents for the application processes. We have been informed of incidents where unauthorized individuals, claiming to be University of Kansas representatives, have taken money from prospective students. Such individuals do not work for the University of Kansas. The University of Kansas does not charge additional fees (aside from the $75 application fee) for admitting international undergraduate students, for issuing or processing I-20s or DS-2019s or for processing scholarships.

If you are approached by someone who claims to work for the University of Kansas, or who requests that you pay a fee that is more than what is listed on the application, be aware that this person is in business for him/herself or another organization and is not employed by the University of Kansas. Be cautious about paying another person to handle your application. Dealing directly with the University of Kansas is the best way to insure that we receive your application and fees. We suggest that you carefully research and check the references of any agent who offers to assist you.
