The IRACDA program is a NIH supported program that provides 3 years of support to fellows in various science research fields. The IRACDA program assists in the training of post-doctoral fellows in preparation for research and teaching careers in academia. The goals of the program are to enhance research skills by providing mentored research experiences while developing teaching skills through assignments that promote the advancement of under-represented minorities. At the University of Kansas, the IRACDA fellows have the opportunity to become involved with teaching and conducting research with students from Haskell Indian Nations University, a tribal college that is located near the KU campus.
