Michael J. Zogry

Michael J. Zogry's primary research interests include Native American / First Nations religions, and theory and method in the study of religions with particular attention to the study of ritual, sport, play and games. His first book, Anetso, the Cherokee Ball Game: At the Center of Ceremony and Identity was published by the University of North Carolina Press in 2010. It was one of the inaugural volumes in the series First Peoples: New Directions in Indigenous Studies. Zogry currently serves as co-chair of the Native Traditions in the Americas Program Unit, American Academy of Religion.

Lauren Krivoshia

Lauren Krivoshia is a Lawrence native who became officially affiliated with KU for the first time in early 2012 when she joined the Indigenous Studies program.  A graduate of DePauw University with a major in studio art, her passion for the arts moved her to work at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2007.  A strong desire to give back to the community led Lauren to move back to Lawrence and join Communities In Schools of Kansas.  Starting as an AmeriCorps VISTA member, Lauren helped build the capacity of the youth-serving dropout prevention organization, and later lead the marketing efforts for the state office.
