Strong Girls

Strong Girls is an after-school program which targets young girls and emphasizes physical activities and life skills designed to enhance their fitness and skill development, positive thinking, goal setting skills, confidence, and social skills.  Strong Girls emphasizes fun, positive communication and stress management skills by purposefully fostering a caring, supportive, and cooperative environment within the group.  Leaders are University of Kansas faculty, staff, and students dedicated to serving the Lawrence community and providing the best possible experience for the Strong Girls.

The program is currently supported by grants from Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence and Kohl's Cares for Kids.
