Kansas Statewide Afterschool Network, Mott Foundation

The overarching goals of the Mott Foundation grants are to raise awareness of the importance of expanded learning opportunities, build capacity and sustainability, and work to build quality programs.  Support from the Foundation allows network staff to build and expand school-linked, school-based programs.  The Network envisions a state where all children and youth can participate in safe, high quality, affordable expanded learning opportunities.  These activities keep kids safe, provide academic assistance, help working families, and build workforce skills.

In addition, the Achievement Grant focuses on 21st Century skills, including math, engineering, technology, and science; parental engagement and leadership; professional development; and particularly targets underserved populations.
