The Institute Adopts Family
Staff at The Institute for Educational Research and Public Service sought to brighten the festive season for as many as possible by adopting a family for the holidays. A family of eleven members was adopted through the Christmas Bureau, a division of the United Way of Greater Topeka. Each family member was provided articles of clothing and gifts. Gift certificates were provided to purchase items for a holiday meal.
Each year, The Institute rotates the selection of a family from the major communities served: Kansas City, Lawrence and Topeka.
The Institute exists to assist School of Education faculty in their pursuit of external funding and to serve the State of Kansas. Major programs areas are:
