McNair Scholars Program Graduates Nineteen

Nineteen McNair Scholars celebrated their graduation at The 19th Annual McNair Awards Banquet held earlier in May. Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little presented them with their Scholarly Honor Chords.  Dr. Jerry Bailey, Director of the Institute for Educational Research and Public Service and Dr. Ngondi Kamatuka, Director of Educational Opportunity Programs gave each scholar graduating a certificate of merit on successfully completing the McNair Scholars Program. Out of the 19 graduating scholars, 15 will attend graduate school in Fall 2011.

The Institute exists to assist School of Education faculty in their pursuit of external funding and to serve the State of Kansas. Major programs areas are:
