Kansas Project LAUNCH to host webinar series for National Children's Mental Health Day

Kansas Project LAUNCH, a program of the Institute for Educational Research and Public Service, is hosting a series of webinars to provide free professional development opportunities for child care providers, early childhood educators, and other professionals working to promote positive mental health in children.

The webinar schedule is as follows:

Monday, May 3rd 10:00-11:00 a.m. Infant Mental Health Endorsement

Tuesday, May 4th 10:00-11:00 a.m. Screening for Mental Health Issues in a Healthcare Setting

Wednesday, May 5th 10:00-11:00 a.m. Promoting Positive Mental and Physical Health through Nutrition and Activity

Thursday, May 6th 10:00-11:00 a.m. Maternal Depression and the Effects on Children

Friday, May 7th 10:00-11:00 a.m. Public Health Approach to Children’s Mental Health

Speakers include Dr. Neal Horen from the Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development and Dr. Pam Shaw, President of the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The registration deadline is April 30.
