The "Blackboard Course Make-Over" Sponsored by IDS

Do you want to try doing something new or different in Blackboard? Do you want to get some fresh ideas on enhancing your content delivery? Would you like to encourage more discussion and collaboration? Would you like to use the assessment tools and features more often? Are you interested in using video clips in your site? What is holding you back? Lack of Time? Limited Technical Expertise?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, your Blackboard course site may
be an excellent candidate for a "Course Makeover."

We invite faculty to participate in a personalized, private Blackboard site
review and redesign.

The entire process will be coordinated by an Instructional Designer who will meet
with selected faculty regularly throughout the semester to help guide course
development and meet instructional goals through a partnership arrangement.

The skills of other academic support professionals including video producers,
software trainers, librarians, and others will also be called upon as necessary to
complete the project by providing technical support, production services, or
academic guidance.

In the end, each course site will be reviewed in the "before" phase, then documented
as it undergoes various procedures, and finally, in a climactic unveiling - "the after" -
when the course site is revealed in its new format and offered to students for the first
time.
