KU takes privacy seriously. KU is committed to protecting the privacy of the information maintained by the institution and is working to enhance the protection of identifiable information in the lives of the KU community.

Encryption Options

There may be nine million reasons to encrypt—the FTC estimates that is how many Americans have their identities stolen each year. The KU Privacy Office recommends the use of encryption for the transmission and/or storage of Confidential or Sensitive Information.
