The Harvest of Hope Leadership Academy (HHLA)

...is a FREE, 3-week summer academic enrichment program on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, June 6 - 27, 2010.  HHLA provides 50 migrant-eligible high school students the opportunity to live, learn, and work together to:

  • strengthen learning strategies
  • explore and practice leadership skills
  • gain knowledge and skills to graduate from high school and pursue a college education

HHLA Mission

  • To inspire, support, and empower migrant high school students to graduate from high school, take leadership roles in their communities, and pursue a college education.
  • To familiarize students with the college environment

The Harvest of Hope Leadership Academy is an Educational Opportunity Program within the Institute for Educational Research and Public Service in the School of Education at the University of Kansas. HHLA is funded by the Kansas Migrant Education Program, Kansas Department of Education.
