This Gender Seminar symposium will highlight many topics in the field of writing, gender, and the body broadly. Topics include constructing the post modern body, performing the gendered body, representing the gendered body, and constructing the non-normative body. The theme intends to be inclusive and open-ended for further discussion across different disciplines, historical times, and geographical contexts. For the symposium, the seminar is delighted to announce keynote speaker Karla Holloway, James B. Duke Professor of English, Law and Women's Studies at Duke University.
