A Visit to Baehr Hall and Kansas Public Radio and Audio Reader
New Generation Society of Lawrence (NGSL members only)

Tue., Mar. 27, 2012, 9:30am - 11:00am
Location: Baehr Hall, 1120 West 11th Street

KPR and Audio Reader are housed in Baehr Hall tucked back on the north side of 11th Street by the stadium.  There they each broadcast across eastern and central Kansas and into western Missouri and in the case of Audio Reader, even farther afield. Audio Reader volunteers read newspapers, books, magazines, etc. to those who subscribe to the service because they cannot see to read for themselves.  It is a great service that the University provides.  And, KPR not only give us the news and music of all stripes, they have a live performance studio so they can produce their own performances.  Phil Wilke will be our host for a brief talk on the mission of the two entities, a tour of the facility, and a special live music performance just for New Generation members.  It will be a special morning.
