"The Peace Prize and Peace Studies Today"

Professor Peter van den Dungen from the University of Bradford, England, and former fellow of the Norwegian Nobel Institute in Oslo, will work with humanities faculty at the Hall Center in a day-long seminar on issues related to "The Peace Prize and Peace Studies Today." Member of the Department of Peace Studies at Bradford--the largest center for peace studies in the world, combining an international peace research institute with undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the study of peace and conflict--van den Dungen has written and co authored several works on the history of peace movements and political cultures, peace literature, and peace research, most recently editing a book on peace museums.
Professor van den Dungen is a Hall Center Visiting Interdisciplinary Scholar in Fall 2001. He will be in Lawrence November 15-18, 2001, with the Hall Center faculty seminar taking place on Friday, November 16, starting at 10:30 am and 1 pm, in the Hall Center conference room.

There will be a public forum on "The Peace Movement Today"
