The University of Kansas Bioengineering Research Center provides a research and teaching environment that nurtures the creativity that will lead to solutions of the many problems impacting the health and well-being of our society. The Center represents a partnership between education, industry and the community. This center will provide the mechanisms to facilitate and promote the introduction of new technologies into patient care and well-being. Dr. Paulette Spencer, DDS, PhD is the Director of the Bioengineering Research Center. Dr. Spencer will discuss the role of the Center in opening the door to the fastest growing field in engineering and to the discipline that attracting the best and brightest young engineers.
