Nandita Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Ethnic Studies and Sociology at the University of Hawai?i at Manoa. She received her PhD from the Sociology and Equity Studies Department at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto and is the author of Home Economics: Nationalism and the Making of ?Migrant Workers? in Canada. (University of Toronto Press 2005).

A book signing and reception will follow the lecture.

This lecture is funded by the Clifford P. Ketzel Endowment for the Expression of Minority Opinions and is co-sponsored by the Department of Political Science and the Department of Sociology.
