The Horowitz Lecturer for 1995 was Letty Cottin Pogrebin, feminist author, editor, and activist. A founding editor of Ms. magazine, Pogrebin has been a regular contributor to a wide variety of periodicals and newspapers and the winner of numerous fellowships and prizes, including an Emmy Award for her work on the television special "Free To Be, You and Me." Her books include How to Make It in a Man's World (1970), Family Politics (1983), and Deborah, Golda and Me (1991).
