The Natural History Museum has been a jewel at the University of Kansas with its unique Panorama and fossils for more than a hundred years.  It remains a major attraction for visitors from Kansas and across the nation.  Leonard Krishtalka, Director of the Museum and of the Biodiversity Institute, will talk to us about the Panorama, its prestigious history, its place as one of America's cultural treasures, and plans to conserve and modernize it for current and future generations.

The building housing the Museum is named for Lewis Lindsey Dyche who brought the Panorama to Kansas and who was a major fossil collector of his day. Krishtalka is a worthy successor to Dyche with a fossilized 50 million year old small mammal named for him by the discoverer, one of his former students.
